Scope and operator
This Privacy Policy explains how Belvien, the operator of belvien.com (“Belvien”, “we”, “us” or “our”), handles personal information when you visit the Website, contact us or interact with its publicly available features.
It does not govern personal information processed for a client project, employment, contractor relationship or another service covered by a separate privacy notice, agreement or data-processing addendum. In those cases, the relevant document controls.
Information we collect
Information you provide
If you email us, we may receive your name, email address, company, job title, message, attachments and any other information you choose to include. Please do not send sensitive personal information or confidential client material through a general enquiry.
The Website’s current project-enquiry form is a front-end demonstration. Submitting it only changes the message displayed in your browser; the entered values are not transmitted to Belvien, stored in a database or emailed. If the form is connected to a backend, CRM or inbox, this Policy must be updated before that feature goes live.
Information collected automatically
When you request a page, Belvien’s hosting, content-delivery, security or infrastructure providers may create technical logs containing an IP address, date and time, requested URL, response status, browser and device information, referring page, and diagnostic or security events. This information is used to deliver, troubleshoot and protect the Website.
Information we do not intentionally request
The public Website does not intentionally request payment-card data, government identifiers, passwords, health information, biometric data or other sensitive personal data. Do not submit such information unless Belvien has provided an approved, secure method and a specific notice.
How we obtain information
We obtain personal information directly from you, automatically from your browser and device when the Website is delivered, and from service providers that help operate or secure the Website. We may also receive ordinary business-contact information from your employer, colleague, referral partner or publicly available professional source when there is a legitimate business reason to contact you and applicable law permits it.
How and why we use information
Depending on the interaction and applicable law, we use personal information to:
- provide, operate, maintain, troubleshoot and secure the Website;
- respond to enquiries, arrange discussions and prepare requested proposals;
- manage business relationships and keep appropriate correspondence records;
- detect abuse, fraud, malicious activity and security incidents;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce or defend legal rights; and
- send marketing only where we have the required consent or another lawful permission, with an available opt-out.
Where consent is the applicable basis, you may withdraw it prospectively. Where law permits processing for specified legitimate uses, legal obligations, security or claims, we may rely on those grounds. We will not use personal information for a new, incompatible purpose without providing additional notice or obtaining consent where required.
When we share information
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose it only as reasonably necessary to:
- hosting, cloud, content-delivery, email, security and technical-support providers acting for us;
- professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants, auditors and insurers under appropriate duties;
- a prospective or completed buyer, investor or successor in a merger, financing, restructuring or asset transfer, subject to appropriate safeguards;
- law-enforcement, regulators, courts or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, security and integrity; or
- another party when you request or validly consent to the disclosure.
Service providers are authorised to process information only for the agreed purpose and are expected to apply appropriate confidentiality and security safeguards.
International processing
Some infrastructure, email, font-delivery or technical providers may process information outside your state or country. Where cross-border processing is restricted, Belvien will use a permitted destination or lawful transfer mechanism and appropriate contractual, organisational or technical safeguards. Transfer restrictions issued under applicable Indian law will be followed when they apply.
Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, including legal, accounting, security and dispute-resolution needs. Retention is determined by the record type, sensitivity, risk, relationship and applicable limitation period.
- General enquiries: normally up to 24 months after the last meaningful interaction, unless a client relationship begins or law requires longer retention.
- Security and access logs: normally kept for a short operational period determined by the hosting or security provider, and longer only when needed to investigate an incident or comply with law.
- Consent and opt-out records: kept as needed to demonstrate and respect your choice.
When information is no longer required, we will delete, anonymise or securely isolate it as appropriate.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards designed for the nature and risk of the information handled. These may include access controls, least-privilege practices, secure configuration, encryption in transit, backups, provider review, monitoring and incident response.
No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. You should use an appropriate channel and avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information. If we become aware of a personal-data breach, we will investigate, mitigate and notify affected persons and authorities when applicable law requires it.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the law that applies and the relevant commencement date, you may have the right to request information about processing, access your personal information, correct or update inaccurate information, request erasure, withdraw consent, object to or restrict certain processing, opt out of marketing, obtain grievance redressal, or nominate another person to exercise applicable rights.
Send a request to hello@belvien.com with enough information to identify the relevant interaction. We may request proportionate verification and may retain information where law permits or requires it. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already lawfully completed.
You may also complain to the competent regulator or adjudicatory body where that right is available. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve the concern.
Children’s information
The Website is intended for business and professional audiences and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from a child. If you believe a child has submitted information without valid parental or guardian involvement, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
External websites and services
The Website may link to third-party websites or services. Their operators decide how they process personal information, and their privacy notices apply. Belvien is not responsible for their independent practices. Review the relevant third-party notice before providing information.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, providers or Website features. The revised version will display a new “Last updated” date. We will provide additional notice or request renewed consent when required by applicable law. Previous versions may be requested using the contact details below.
